It is the Ultra version.
I sat in it and had a look around for a few minutes.
Impressions:
Likes:
Good interior passenger space.
Massive boot space. Seems bigger than current XC90, and much bigger than my Mk.1 model. Also has deep storage well - no spare tyre. Apparently has a "frunk" also.
Rear seats lower/raise by push button.
Large Pano roof on the Ultra.
Dislikes:
No leather for the seats. It doesn't matter what you call it or how it's described, plastic seats are cheap! They were the province of lower spec models at one time, and leather was the preserve of the luxury versions.
If I'm being asked to pay almost £100k for a car, I want leather. Volvo's stablemate Polestar still option leather, so no excuse really.
Seats are of the thin hugging sport type - no option for a different type unlike earlier models. Only this form is available across the EX90 range I was told.
Large vertical screen with very few actual buttons - so so much has to be done by scrolling through different screens and using various icons - hazardous if attempted whilst driving.
Black interior for this black car - very funereal - the car is large enough to be a hearse but there's no need for it to look like one too!
Obviously many things are subject to personal taste, much like Marmite is.
I'm not trying to influence anyone.
