Finally after what seems like years we're starting to see some very early first ride reviews coming out. Expecting full first drive reviews to follow in a couple of months time.

Manufacturing will start shortly at Volvo’s factory in Charleston, South Carolina and is available to order in the UK now in just a single specification initially. First UK deliveries due before the end of the year.

Auto Car:
The EX90 certainly has the feel of a convincing contender in the premium SUV ranks, then, at least for passengers, being spacious, plush, comfy and quiet. Of course, as the smaller EX30 has shown, our view can change when we switch seats – and firm judgements must wait for that to happen in a few months.

Auto Express:
First impressions show a clear emphasis on comfort and refinement, with our particular test car in a specification that’s expected to be popular in the UK. This includes the dual-chamber air suspension and middle 21-inch wheel option, both of which buffed away the edges of Volvo’s punishing test route..

Car and Driver:
Volvo is known for safety, stolidity, and, increasingly, premium sustainable materials. The EX90 is not a driver's car. But it excels at what it sets out to do, which is provide all of the above attributes in a handsome package. If you're looking for a three-row electric SUV to Goldilocks itself between a Kia EV9 and a Mercedes EQS SUV, while providing a blend of both, without the faceted retrofuturism or lavish baroqueries of either, you may have found your ride.
